We are a team of professional psychology practitioners, ranging from clinical and educational psychologists through to psychotherapeutically trained practitioners used to working with children and young people to support their social and emotional development. We are in a position to research, evaluate and use a very wide range of assessment and evaluation tools and processes and want to bring you our thoughts on which are the best of the best and which are good but limited etc. We believe strongly that strengths based interventions are the most effective way to build positive attitudes, skills and self esteem for most children, most of the time; and our vision is to help to create a community of people who work this way and support the community to find good tools and materials with which they can help their children and young people. A strengths based approach is a new orientation for fostering the development and learning of children, young people and staff at school and in support settings today. To achieve our wish for more people to know of, and use, this approach we are dedicated to bring you comment, research, recommendations and opinions from all over the world on this way of working.
